We had thought the focus of the national SOAW was changing, and that the Vigil at Ft Benning Georgia, each fall would be no more. However, even while SOAW is focusing on Washington DC and other direct and indirect actions, the Vigil still continues, although with smaller numbers.
Portland and Oregon will be sending a handful of vigilers to Columbus this November, including your's truly, Joshua Eddings. We are hoping to ramp up understanding of why closing the SOA is important, and ramp up participation here locally, even as people are involved in other events, such as OccupyPortland.

We will have a "Report back" in January (date yet to be scheduled), including a media presentation on this years Vigil.
