Father Roy Bourgeois is making a quick stop in Portland on April 9. His talk will not directly address the School of Americas, but rather another topic close to his heart - the injustice of excluding women from priestly ordination in the Catholic Church. His topic is "Shatter the Stained Glass Ceiling."
I talked to Fr. Roy about this visit, he said that he might also give a quick update on the School of America Watch, especially the delegations to Latin America by the SOAW this year at this talk.
The talk will be:

Ft Benning Vigil and Local Action
Thousands attended the Vigil at the gates of Ft. Benning last weekend. We're still waiting for an accurate account of how many thousands. Last year it was over 20,000! In addition, 4 human rights activists were arrested for "crossing the line". See www.soaw.org for more info.
A handful of local protesters gathered at Pioneer Courthouse Square to leaflet and educate people about the School of Americas and the effort to close the school.
We will be holding a Report - Back from Oregonians who went to the Vigil. Date and time TBA.
Thanks to everyone who helped this year!
