Thousands attended the Vigil at the gates of Ft. Benning last weekend. We're still waiting for an accurate account of how many thousands. Last year it was over 20,000! In addition, 4 human rights activists were arrested for "crossing the line". See www.soaw.org for more info.
A handful of local protesters gathered at Pioneer Courthouse Square to leaflet and educate people about the School of Americas and the effort to close the school.
We will be holding a Report - Back from Oregonians who went to the Vigil. Date and time TBA.
Thanks to everyone who helped this year!

SOA Watch Portland 1/2 page Handout
Some notes about this -
- It is in Adobe Acrobate Format
- You should be able to "right click" and download the link above to your computer
- It is hosted on coyoteco.com (my website)
- The handout is meant to be printed out double-sided on an 8&1/5 x 11 sheet, then cut in half.
- If you have a printer that does not automatically duplex (print both sides) - only print the first full page of the pdf, flip your page, put it back into your printer, and print the second side with the same page.
- If you have a duplex printer - print both pages. The second page is flipped upside down so you probably don't have to do anything else. But...!
Thank You,
Josh Eddings
